The picturesque setting for Arrow Mill is outstanding and the same can be said of its location for food lovers – right on the doorstep of some of the countries finest and most sought after growers and producers. Such proximity is perfect for Chef Simon’s culinary skills and his passion of fresh, seasonal produce.

Sourcing ingredients locally is just part of our passion for quality – the kitchen garden provides fresh pickings and our in-house smoker, the resident chickens and even the Mills hard working honey bees all contribute to dishes that use almost exclusively home made ingredients.

Simon and his son James run the kitchen so you can always be sure that standards will be high. Simon’s food is classic cuisine that follows the seasons and is a feast for the eyes even before tasting the beautifully worked flavours that combine into dishes of a standard rarely found outside of the top London restaurants.

On the menu you’ll find dishes of simplicity, yet full of flavour and character, such as garden spinach and the freshest poached ‘crispy’ hens egg, local asparagus, garden beetroot, our own sausages and cured meats, cheeses, salad leaves and smoked fish, poultry and seasonal game.
